We are blessed to offer three services at Brooklet UMC. The two traditional services are at 8:30am and 11:00am in the sanctuary of the main building (on the corner of Parker Street and West Lane Street). The Contemporary Service is held at 11am in the JWC sanctuary.
The tone varies, with our pastor in casual attire to ministerial robes, but any attire is welcome in any of the services. We have a choir at both traditional services, though our choir is larger at the 11:00 service. The 8:30 service is our largest worship service most Sundays. Our Contemporary Service offers a Praise and Worship band with a more upbeat type of music.
The traditional services have most all of the elements one would associate with a traditional "Methodist service" - acolytes (children who serve as candle lighters), affirmations of faith (usually the Apostles' Creed), the Lord's Prayer, and the traditional hymns of the Church (along with newer hymns and arrangements). We also have special, "unplugged" music occassionally.
Our Contemporary Service is held every Sunday morning @ 11am in the JWC. The message is delivered by Wes Sherrod with music led by Josh Burnham. This service offers a less traditional type of worship while keeping every aspect of the service focused on Jesus Christ.
We would love to have you join us for these engaging services on any Sunday morning.
